Privacy Policy

Who we are

GeekEnclave operates the website at geekenclave.com.

For privacy-related questions, please use the contact details provided on our Contact page or the privacy contact address shown in our cookie/privacy notices.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process limited information such as:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • pages visited and interactions with the site
  • cookie and consent preferences
  • information you send through contact forms or email
  • analytics data collected with your consent

We do not currently provide public user accounts, member areas, or public commenting.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, implemented through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors use GeekEnclave.

Analytics tracking is controlled by our consent-management system. For visitors in the United Kingdom, EEA and Switzerland, Analytics tracking is not enabled until the visitor gives the relevant consent. Google Site Kit’s consent mode adapts Analytics behaviour based on the visitor’s consent choice. Site Kit by Google

Analytics information may include device information, approximate location, pages visited, referral source and interaction data.

Cookies and consent

GeekEnclave uses cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions and, where permission is given, for statistics.

We use Complianz to manage consent preferences. Visitors can accept, deny or change their preferences through the consent banner.

Our detailed Cookie Policy lists the cookies and services currently detected on the site.

Search and webmaster services

We use services including:

  • Google Search Console
  • Bing Webmaster Tools
  • IndexNow

These services help us understand search visibility, indexing and technical performance.

They are primarily used for website administration and search-engine indexing rather than advertising.

Hosting and security

GeekEnclave is hosted by Hostinger.

Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, server logs and security-related data as necessary to operate, secure and maintain the website.

Contacting us

If you contact GeekEnclave by email or through a contact form, we may retain the information you provide so that we can respond to your enquiry and maintain appropriate records.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

Affiliate links

Some GeekEnclave pages may contain affiliate links.

If you click an affiliate link, the relevant retailer, affiliate network or service provider may process information about the referral and any resulting transaction.

For more information, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Advertising

GeekEnclave does not currently use display advertising.

If we introduce services such as Google AdSense in the future, this Privacy Policy and our consent configuration will be updated before advertising is enabled.

Embedded content and external websites

Some pages may link to or embed content from third-party websites.

External websites operate under their own privacy policies. If we later add embedded services such as YouTube, maps or social-media content, our consent configuration and Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly.

Legal bases for processing

Depending on the activity, we may process personal data on the basis of:

  • Consent — for non-essential analytics or similar technologies where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests — for operating, securing, improving and administering the website where those interests do not override your rights.
  • Legal obligations — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.

The ICO requires privacy information to explain the purposes and lawful basis for processing. ICO

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, security and administrative requirements.

Analytics and third-party service retention periods may also be governed by the settings and policies of those providers.

International data transfers

Some service providers used by GeekEnclave, including Google and other technology providers, may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where required, those providers use recognised safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms for international data transfers.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including:

  • access to your personal information
  • correction of inaccurate information
  • erasure of information
  • restriction of processing
  • objection to certain processing
  • data portability
  • withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent

You can also change or withdraw cookie consent using the site’s consent controls.

The ICO confirms that individuals must be informed of relevant rights and how to withdraw consent where applicable. ICO

Complaints

If you have concerns about how GeekEnclave handles personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom. The ICO says UK-based organisations should tell individuals about this right. ICO

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, analytics, advertising arrangements or legal requirements change.

The latest version will always be published on this page.
